Kings active in NBA Draft trade rumors, according to report

"GTFO." "You first." "Damn man, that's cold." - USA TODAY Sports

Could we see the Kings move down?

In his Thursday NBA mock draft, ESPN's Chad Ford has the Sacramento Kings taking C.J. McCollum and leaving Anthony Bennett on the board. But there's also an interesting note, if you believe it.

The Kings are engaged in trade talks with a number of teams, and they might move this pick. [...] I also wouldn't be surprised if Utah moved up to No. 7 to land McCollum.

It'll be interesting to see what player trade rumors pop up. We know defense has been the talking point. But putting that into action is another matter entirely. What is clear is that despite Jason Jones and Sam Amick both dismissing reports that the Kings are shopping Jimmer Fredette, Ford keeps banging that drum.

The team wants a point guard who can shoot the ball. That was supposed to be Jimmer Fredette two years ago, but it looks like the team might be moving on.

We'll see.
