For many years, the Kings have been blasting music during games. I watch games unbiased and many other arenas partake in this same act. There are few things more continually annoying than having this noise blasted through your ears. I think it's time to knock it off.
Year after year, I go to many games. I am a heckler by nature. I love to yell and I feel I ought to be heard. I was at the Cleveland game earlier this year. I was lucky to have seats under the hoop and close to the court.
So I yelled "You got it Rudy" during a free throw. Rudy then proceeded to drain two exciting three's. Coincidence? Possibly. I had the same seats against Portland. I heckled, chatted and jeered Mo Williams all night. Wes Matthews too. Those guys shot a lot and totally underwhelmed all night. I don't think I was directly responsible for all of these instances but there's no reason things like this shouldn't occur. Let's take cues from Utah on limiting the noise! If people want to sit in silence, stay home! If they would opt to have non-music possessions, fans would have more chances to jeer and cheer. Heckling is fun!
