So here we go again. Our "rivals" from the Bay Area are coming into town on the 19th and we need to support our Kings in our home arena. Last Kings - Warriors game was horrible. I've been a Kings fan all of my life and can remember when opposing teams fans could barely get a chance to buy a ticket to the games in Arco. Now its just to easy for rival fans to come in.
I can still remember the last time the Warriors were in town and it was just a mess. We ended up losing that night but that isn't what annoyed me. What annoyed me were the Warriors fans that did come. During pregame intros there was a power malfunction and the groups of Warriors fans in the upper bowl were doing their chants and worst part about those groups is that they had yellow crowns on. Of course, there was more Kings fans than Warriors fans so we can drown them out but they were able to get their chants going when they wanted. There was way more yellow and blue then there should have been that night.
All I'm trying to say is that we as Kings fans are doing a great job at selling a lot more tickets and filling the seats this year than last. But when it comes to Kings - Warriors games lets do a better job at not just filling the seats in with purple but drowning their noise out and make them feel like they aren't even there, because they definitely got us last game.
This is just my opinion and you obviously have your own opinions, but as a loyal die hard Kings fan it sucks to see fans of opposing teams fill the seats and make their team feel like their at home. So on the 19th warm up your voices, get ready to get loud and bring your cowbells and let remind the Warriors and their fans where they are.
Just spoke with a Kings ticket rep and they told me that there are still really good seats available with pricing pretty much in every price range. Get your tickets on Kings.com or Stubhub. Make sure to wear your purple!
