DeMarcus Cousins still needs to grow up.

I'll be the first person to acknowledge that the big fella has improved his demeanor from last year starting at the beginning of this season.

However, tonight's game against the Celtics makes me extremely weary of our future seeing flashes of the old DeMarcus.

Getting into it with other players after the whistle.

Instigating scuffles with other players using both his body and his mouth.

Complaining to the refs.

I think the most obvious example was him getting into Humphrey's face after the whistle that resulted in a double technical. Now I know we don't know what was said on the floor, but regardless you can't do that as a professional.

The play after this scruffle he drew a nice charge, but because of the previous incident he wasn't given the call. Yes I wholeheartedly believe he would have gotten the call if not for the previous altercation.

Then at the end of the game during the last freaking 30 seconds of play he was mouthing off to the refs after fouling out. In my head I was screaming at him to shut his damn mouth and sit on the bench. We won the game DeMarcus. What the fuck man.

If we ever want this team to evolve into the next level, let alone have DeMarcus as our leader, he needs to lead by example as a leader. As of now he is still showing signs of that painful immature label that the media likes to brand him as. For tonight at least, I'd have to agree with them.
