Thank you for the memories (although there are just a few of them). You showed the utmost professionalism with a team who didn't believe in you from the get-go. Never did you complain. We, the fans, all know you were on a tight leash from the beginning.
Unfortunately we are all dealing with a franchise who is going through changes. You were asked to develop under the leadership of rookie head coaches in Keith Smart (lol) and Mike Malone (which does explain your tenure in Sacramento). You are criticized for your defense on a team who possesses the WORST DEFENSE IN THE NBA as a whole.
Your final performance in extended minutes against New York showed the true colors of your potential, and what can happen if you simply "unleash" Jimmer. You were, and still are, handcuffed and it is sad, unfortunate and in one word: pathetic. As a long time Kings fan, I am very upset to see you leave a franchise that is in the midst of a makeover. I wish you could stay on-board and grow with this team, organization, community and fans. You are THE fan favorite, and for good reason.
I hope to see you thrive in the coming years, because I know you will. There will be an organization who buys into your style and it will pay enormous dividends. You bring the perfect formula to a contender, who should sign you the second they get the chance.
Best of luck in your future endeavors. I'll continue to follow your career as if you are a King.
