Hi, long time listener fist time caller. I've been a big NBA/Kings fan since they moved to Sacramento in 1985 but I'll be the first to admit that I don't spend a lot of time on advanced player statistics and analytics so this question may come off a bit simplistic. I hear a lot of talk about pairing a defensive minded center with DeMarcus and had heard around the deadline this year that the Nuggets would love to get rid of McGee either because of his contract or his attitude or some combination of both. I know he has had behavioral problems in the league since he arrived. I wonder if he'd be a center the Kings would want to look at? I believe he has a relationship with Shaq (dunk contest a few years back?) that may or may not help his headspace if he came here and then of course we have an improved culture since the new owners have come in. Of course he was injured all of last year and I'm not sure if it's the type of setback he would be able to come back from and be effective. Also, regarding his contract I'm not sure what we would have to or be willing to give up in order to get him, AND then there is that issue of team chemistry. In espn's trade machine it works with the salary to send Jason Thompson and Travis Outlaw to Denver for McGee. Would love to hear some thoughts about this. This may be a horrible trade idea but last I remembered of a healthy McGee was that he was a dynamic shot blocker, and also crazy. But is this idea so crazy that it may actually work?
