EA Sports, the creator of NBA Live franchise is set to alter their controller settings for one specific NBA team as said here by NBA Live 15 Executive Producer Sean O’Brien "When you play the Sacramento Kings, the pass button will sometimes not work. This thing was brought to us by our programmers but when we asked our testers, they didn’t notice it and said that is really how Sacramento Kings play so hey, maybe it isn’t a bug, maybe it’s a feature."
As the NBA Live sales gets worse each year and NBA Live 14 got only a 36/100 score from MetaCritic, NBA Live is desperate to get back on track. O’Brien said NBA Live is trying to make the game more realistic to people who are physically unrealistic to play actual basketball. We asked some gamers and Sacramento Kings fan what they think when they tested NBA Live 15 and Peter Smith of Carmichael said "They really captured our frustration when Jason Thompson just rams into Blake Griffin instead of passing the ball." And by Julius Carter of Elk Grove "What the F is this man, in video games and in real life, I’m struggling to score!"
"With this development, we are looking more in adding more realistic features in our game" as explained by O’Brien. "We are also looking at a feature where the perimeter player of the Kings will slide quietly into the paint, leaving an opponent three-point shooter open, and it all happens automatically. This will be our most realistic sport game since we released NBA Lockout 2012. I want to thank our fans who continue to believe in us. Your feedback, encouragement and occasional whipping from management are continually motivating our team to do better."
