The value of 2nd rounders

Why are the Kings aggressively pursuing a 2nd round pick? Don't most 2nd rounders make little, to no impact on NBA teams? Yes, most do, however finding a successful 2nd round pick is like mining gold in the NBA. Let's take a look at the past 15 years of draft history to find impactful 2nd round picks. I have named all of the All-Stars selected in the 2nd round from each year. If no All-Stars were selected from that class, I took one or two impactful players from that class. Here we go!

1998: Rashard Lewis (31) - 2 time All Star 14.9 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.7 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.5 BPG
