GAME 63 at Evil Los Angeles, Game Thread
Slow day in Kingsland. KJ's getting smeared, Martin's ensuring his place in the Debate Club with smart Shelden Williams and noble Spencer Hawes, and Artest's coming back from the dead.
Oh, and the Lakers attempt to suck some more soul from our lifeless bodies.
Game's at 6:30 p.m. Big one between the Spurs and Sun at 12:30. Good day for basketball.
Go Kings.
UPDATE: Forum Blue & Gold has its preview up. Be warned, though: The embedded YouTube may cause your retinas damage.

I love the quote by Artest.
I'd rather get all those people out now, and I want them to stay like that. So when we start winning don't come on the bandwagon, all right? Don't come say, 'Hey Ron, I love you.' No.>Insert text of the quote here
Ron, we love you. The problem with your bandwagon is that it is up on blocks an awful lot.
Lakers-Kings not enticing anymore
It's Time
Play the future and start to sever the ties with those who aren't part of it.
There's also a third group of players who they're still trying to peg. I guess they are part of the future until you clearly push them into one pile or the other.

Also mentions Artest and Theus, criticizing the latter and saying he may not be in the league long.

Kings up 31-29 after one
Artest 3/8 - 8 pts. Kobe 6/8 - 16 pts.
71-60 Kings at the half
This team makes my head hurt.
its just the lakers
Wonderful freakin' game to watch tonight.
passing is crisp.
defense effective.
Stay tuned for late game implosion, and Fair-weather fan drunken rant(You know who you are).
Theus has said it many times this year...
Until the team learns to play with consistency, which we haven't seen in over three years now, we will never be a conference contender again. Hell the west just keeps getting more stacked... so forget the conference contender... we're screwing ourselves out of the playoffs time and time again from now until this mindset changes.

no.
I didn't even get very upset
He just can't help himself.
A couple of games back, he looked like he was headed for another charge on a similar play but he pulled up and shot (made) a short jumper instead. I think my jaw dropped. I love the kid but...

I'm so glad we didn't trade artest, he was such a critical cheerleader from the bench in crunch time!

tonight marks
That my friends
Ron Artest
- was hurt at the end of the game?
- was benched because Reggie was sending a message?
- was on the bench because Reggie liked who he had on the floor (even after Garcia fouled out)?
- was busy loading the bandwagon?
Don't you hate it
Hawes!!!
And interestingly enough
I choose
He was specificly asked if Ron did not play after being pulled "early" in the second half.
If I remember correctly, the reporter got a one word answer and a smile. The one word was no.

This was a really popular emoticon in the late nineties, and Family Guy revived its populatiry with the above shown spoltlight on its show.
My life seems sad on paper (or internet, even sadder).

Stay away from my daughter.
Did it ever occur to you
Cuz Miller sucked again
Great win
Maybe this will be a building block for future fourth-quarter triumphs.

Interesting Artest quote from S.I.'s game recap
That's pretty interesting from a guy that admitted he didnt play the last two games because the weaker opponents gave him an oppertunity to rest his hurt leg/foot.
Interesting CC post

Nice win
But they finally figured it out in crunch time. Huge free throws by Beno and great defense on Kobe on the final play.
Honestly, I thought Mikki played a great game. So I've taken the hater signature down (for now).
One additional item
I've seen pastier...

Two things
Did anyone see the wrap up of this game on Sports Center after the game was over, what a travesty, it was look at the Lakers take an early lead, lets look at the Lakers shoot in the 2nd quarter, the Beno jumper at end of the half a mention of the Kings scoring 71 in that period, then the Lakers making a run in the forth, the lakers tying up the game, a mention of Beno getting a call to go ahead and Kobe missing the game winning shot. Pathetic really ESPN but not really a surprise, as this was a great game
Yah Well
That's not true
Outside of Sac, no one knows them; that's why ESPN doesn't show them.
That said, ESPN sucks grandiose hairy cajones.
