"Former players joining Webber are Kings legend and new minority investor Mitch Richmond along with Scot Pollard and Bobby Jackson. The Kings current starting backcourt of Tyreke Evans and Isaiah Thomas will also be at tomorrow’s rally."
I’d like to start out by congratulating Mayor Johnson and the fans in Sacramento for the tremendous effort they put together to keep their team. Given what our community went through in 2008, if there is any silver lining in this for Seattle it is seeing Sacramento’s dedicated fan base successfully rally to keep the Kings. This was never about Seattle fans versus Sacramento fans, and it goes unsaid that there is a mutual respect given the circumstances we have both been through.
Sucks, was really pulling for him to turn the corner...wouldn't be surprised if this is the last we see of Terrence Williams
Found this one for polotown.
This video spotlights the last truly razzle-dazzle team in NBA history-- the charismatic Sacramento Kings squad that played to enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations on the road as well as at home. The NBA showcased the Kings of this era around the world (games in China and Japan), as well as with special programming and the maximum number of national TV appearances. Great series of articles by Kevin Hetrick, looking at the importance of size and athleticism broken down by position and offense/defense. Several very important points, including the relative unimportance of size for a NBA point guard (in other words, stop talking about how IT is too short).
