Sacramento Kings Bandwagon Auditions 2009 post-draft version

The symphony has been composed, the conductor has approved the re-writes, and the band members are practicing and tuning their instruments as we speak. There are four new additions to the band. The audience was unsure if this was the right crew but they know that as soon as rehearsals begin their cheers and smiles will follow. One Frank Observation

In the event (likely? 50/50?) that one Lawrence Frank becomes available, he immediately becomes one of the biggest blips on the coaching search radar here in Sacramento. I don't know why New Jersey would consider letting him go. He was the anti-Musselman/Theus experiment, the unconventional hire that really worked out. He has done better than admirably with the talent he has been given. he has nice new pieces to work with. But if....

Sick of Martin

Drastic times call for drastic measures. I say if you can get something good for Martin--do it. He's not a leader or franchise player and it was stupid to try to build around him. He just doesn't have the frame, and it gets reallllllly old watching him always jump into people to try to get to the line. UGly, ugly ball. But he can shoot, so some team should give up something. Miller is a goner, but Salmons and Martin should also hit the road. Get a good point, good a good slasher or board man. Get something that makes this team fun to watch again. Damn. We got some good young players.

Is this like the start of free agency when teams call free agents at midnight the day it begins to make offers? Will GP be trying to make the Artest trade official at 12:01am or do you think he'll set his alarm for the normal time? On a semi-related note, David Thorpe in his chat today said we traded Ron essentially for 2 top-5 picks, Greene would be a top 5 in the upcoming draft and we'll be one of the worst 5 teams in the league this year....
