A hard foul by Ron Artest on San Antonio's Manu Ginobili on Saturday will prove costly to the Kings, who learned Monday that their forward has been suspended for Tuesday's playoff game by the NBA.

Artest was suspended one game for making forearm contact to the head of Ginobili during the third quarter of San Antonio's 122-88 win over the Kings, NBA senior vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced.

The incident occurred with 9:07 remaining in the third quarter of the playoff opener in San Antonio. Game 2 is Tuesday night, also in San Antonio.

I'm not particularly prepared to discuss how this actually affects Tuesday's game.

I am ready, though, to talk about how this affects Manu Ginobili in whatever game in this series appears to be a season-ending one for the Kings.

That kid is going to get laid out. Seriously. And I can't wait.

Maybe Arthur Bonzarelli can pass on a greeting to Balki tomorrow night. It'd be the gentlemanly thing to do, of course.

Balki is a flopper....

Anyone but Artest and it would of just been a fine, no lousy suspension....not right....just not right. So I guess the only option is to beat em without Ron Ron...now THAT would be making a statement.......I am not conceeding this series as a sweep yet, let alone a loss.

Gino is a bitch, which nobody can deny, but it's not like he's the one who hands out the suspensions. Ron-Ron should put out a mix-tape in which he put Stu Jackson on blast. That'll teach'em.

If Balki didn't pop Ron-Ron in the lip as soon as the game started, Ron-Ron wouldn't have stuck a forearm in kid's craw later on.

Wait. Who am I kidding? Of course he would have. That's the beauty of Ron-Ron.

And he should definitely crush StuJax this summer. And Manu.

Come Wednesday morning the Spurs...all of them... need to feel the physical pain from Tuesdays game....all fair in love and the playoffs. I feel high elbows, well placed knees, maybe a pick set on TP like the one CWebb put on Stockton that one time or one like B52 put on Rid in last years playoffs.

Artest has been good until now. If he loses his composure now, especially after promising the world, then what happens?

But I'm also glad Ginobli got hit. I wish it was harder and more permanent pain. I get pissed off every time I see his gay ass soccer player-looking face. Him and Parker. And why did ESPN feel the need to show Eva Longoria on TV every time Parker scored? I know what she looks like.

I think Sactown Royalty should declare war with France and Argentina for the remainder of the series. I think its the least we could do. And if it wasn't one of our territories i would say the Virgin Islands as well.

Anyway, we can still bounce back. We need a win tomorrow to stay competitive in this series. I think were going to really give them our best shot tomorrow (minus Artest). Regardless, there's no way we lose game 3. Artest coming back after a BS suspension. There's no way. Were gonna play with some real fire, especially in front of that Arco crowd. A win tomorrow is huge.

re: Eva Longoria

The game was on ESPN, which is owned by ABC, which has a show called "Desperate Housewives" staring...Eva Longoria! I bet she's getting paid by ABC to go to games simply for the commercial value, not that she wouldn't attend anyway. With the next game being on TNT, I'm sure the Eva-cam will be a little less austentatious, though I'm sure she'll get her fair share of face time nonetheless

Hard foul?

While I can see that the hit was intentional, I disagree with the article calling it a "Hard foul". It was more Ginobili acting than Artest's forearm.

One thing I love about Jerry Sloan - if his team can't beat you, you can count on them to beat the shit out of you. That's what the Kings ought to be doing tomorrow night. No head shots, but everything else is game.
