Marv Albert & Barkley to Call Thursday Game

TNT's Marv Albert and Charles Barkley will call Thursday night's Kings-Lakers tilt, according to blog Sports Media Watch.

Steve Kerr has the week off, so it doesn't appear to be a long-term assignment for Sir Charles. Still, it should add an extra layer of fun at the least.

It'll be interesting to see if Mike Bibby - the last remaining soldier from the glory years - has any thoughts on it, as Barkley was a very vocal critic of the Rick Adelman-style offense.

(Hat tip to The Big Lead.)

This could be entertaining.
First of all, I had no idea there was a Bloggies Award (The Big Lead.)

Get the BIG buffet ready and listen for classic quotes! I am more excited about the game with Sir Charles in the house. Right, wrong or just plain goofy, he says it like he sees it. I hope Magic isn't in the studio. His (obvious) Laker bias is annoying as Hell. Even worse because he speaks about five words a minute. We can assume that whomever is working - it will be another Laker lovefest from TNT.
