Mike Bibby Out 6-8 Weeks With Torn Thumb Ligament
The headline more or less says it all.
Sam Amick places the absence at anywhere from 19-32 games, depending on the remedy (rehab versus surgery). Instead of going with Francisco Garcia, Orien Greene, or Quincy Douby in the starting lineup, Geoff Petrie's talking about going out and getting a veteran on the cheap. Gary Payton, Earl Boykins and Mike Wilks are mentioned. There's also the possibility to pick up a one-guard from Houston, and I'd add Seattle to that mix.
More on the impact on the team later today.

Re: Mike Bibby Out 6-8 Weeks With Torn Thumb Ligam
Not only is our PG position f'ed, but we're going to have to deal with the those other 12 power forwards that are BETTER than Andrew Bynum throughout the season.
Someone light up the doub.
