Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento

... and they tell him Reggie Theus has caused rumblings of displeasure with his players.

The question is: Do any of the players matter? Are the Maloofs -- right or wrong -- wedded to any player more than they are to Theus? Even Kevin Martin... we know Geoff Petrie would always choose Martin over Theus, but would the Maloofs? I doubt it.

It's going to take a 25-game losing streak or punching Spencer Hawes in the nose to get Theus fired. Which is to say Sheridan's spies are terrible.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
So our hydra doesn't like Theus.  Who gives a shit, they're worthless anyway.  Now if it's Martin or some of the other youngsters we may have a problem.  But it's no secret Yolanda doesn't like him, Kenny never likes anyone, and Shareef is complaining about pt.  The hydra of crybabies.
trade em all except Kev, John, and SHawes...How's that TZ?

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
I actually find that reference insulting to Yolanda Griffith.  She's tough has a low post game and bangs the boards - everything Mikki doesn't do.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
I agree, Yolanda is a much better player but the physical resemblance is uncanny. That is neither a good thing for Yo or Mikki.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
do i really care if a bunch of middling vets that are being paid too much aren't happy with a coach who has rules and wants some discipline? No.

Something also tells me that Martin isn't the type to be angry with Theus' methods. Same with some other important guys like Salmons, Garcia, and Douby who are working their asses off and getting playing time for it.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
Reading that article was a waist of brain power, even at a word skim rate of 1 in 5.  Being a writer at ESPN must not pay well and pay by the word.

Plus, I hope Theus has pissed off the hydra. an angry monster is a susceptible monster. Now only if GP will raise his sword and slay.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
Theus may not have the experience it takes to call all the right rotations and play.

Theus does have the balls to expect discipline, to make his team practice hard, and play harder, and finally give people the time on the floor who deserve it, for the most part.

I still can't deal with Mikki starting, Thomas playing, or reef and watkins lack of minutes.  Hopefully this will change in time.

Oriene could use some more minutes to, just don't score damnit, play defense like we know you can! While I'm speaking of point guards, if beno lobs up more than 5 shots while shooting under 50%, take his ass out.  I'd rather not have a 'floor leader' than someone who is pretending to be one.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
Pop probably cares about what Tim Duncan thinks. He probably does not care what Brent Barry thinks.

Sloan probably cares about what Deron Williams thinks. He does not seem to care about what Kry-alenko thinks.

I hope that Theus cares about what Kevin Martin thinks. I hope that he does not care about what what any of the cower forwards think.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
I overheard a wonderful conversation during the preseason game against the Blazers.. Mikki Moore asks if he should pick up a man on the switch, and Theus yells "No, you'll just foul him" in a "I'm tired of you asking questions like that" kind of way. It went on all night.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
TZ, Sheridan gave it 18 to 1 odds...  I may not be a math wiz but it seems like he is saying it is a long shot too.

Re: Chris Sheridan Has Spies in Sacramento
Give the guy a chance.  He's playing a lot of different rotations in the hopes of finding something that actually works.  With current roster that is next toimpossible.  Artest, Miller and serious minutes to Hawes should help.  Players that don't pull their weight are never happy.

Theus needs to concetrate most of the shot making to Salmons, Martin and Artest in the low post and Garcia.
