Interesting article on Ron Artest by Ian Thomsen at SI.com.

The conclusion: a lot of talent, but hard to handle and maybe too big of an ego for this team.

Thomsen alludes to some of the clashes between Artest and Theus, and the recent blowup between Artest and Udrih over Ron's failure to run a play.

He took only seven shots, including wanting to pass up an open three that was so open he finally HAD to shoot it (and missed). He played like his usual possessed madman on defense, totally shutting down AI, and passed the ball instead of dominating it. That's a big reason the 45s had 49 points.

A winning formula? If Ron truly wants to be a champion like he says in the article, maybe he will come to terms with a lesser offensive role that is appropriate for his talents.
