Since that was a remarkably disjointed performance, we get a disjointed recap:

I saw someone mention in some article yesterday that Brad Miller's trade value is booming. We've beat ourselves into believing we're likely stuck with Brad's contract until it's close to expiring -- maybe not? He's playing balls to the ceiling right now; that dunk (which Sam Amick writes about quite a bit) was a breath of something fresh. The problem will also be Miller's niche status -- he's pleasant in our system (when we run it) but he'd be mismatched on most teams. Still, his improved rebounding and defense have mitigated those concerns somewhat; you can't expect him to block two shots a night, but he's not a pure Princeton center as he was last year.
Some people lose luggage at the airport this time of year; the Kings lost John Salmons. Hope he turns up.
Ron Artest was as invisible as he was Friday night, with a diametrically different result. Hard to blame it on him, but the team's got to do something to get him the ball when Beno Udrih and John Salmons are off.

The number?

Theres something obviously connected between a monster dunk over a player and the Sacramento Kings #7 jersey.....maybe we should add 7 to Brads number...BRAD MILLER #59 or to keep Speed from getting injured....on certain nights issue him #17, but then if we wanted Bibby to excel altitude-wise on the same day...Bibby and Martin would have the same number....

ron artest

great article in si.com the last few days about ron artest. while watching the last few games, it seems artest just does not click with the others on the floor, as if he is not part of the group???
i still think petrie needs to make a move. there are some troubled teams out there right now like miami, new jersey, dallas, new york who might want to make a move. i could not help but wonder what if bibby took a little "hgh" like fp did for his injury??? instead of being out 10 weeks maybe he could have been back in 5-6 weeks. but bibby will not use hgh and guess what. beno took his spot and now bibby may find himself and his family in a different city and new schools for his kids in a few weeks because he did the right thing. so much for letting your body heal naturally. any finally, fp owes a big apology to artest for ripping him on 1140 in the mornings when artest was going through his tough times.
