Ron-Ron Talks About His Daughter

The Bee's Sam Amick talked with Ron Artest about his young ailing daughter. Basketball isn't very important sometimes.

Re: Ron-Ron Talks About His Daughter
I don't think that there is anything more horrific on this earth than an ailing child, and no parent or child should have to go through what Ron, Kimsha and Diamond are going through right now. And though it pales in comparison, what Ron is doing on the court while this is going on in his life is absolutely incredible. My family sends its thoughts and prayers to Ron's family.

Re: Ron-Ron Talks About His Daughter
Despite our occasional jokes about ball-hogging or off the court "uniqueness", I've only heard good things about Ron's relationship with his children. A close friend of mine who works at the Arden Fair Mall says she's seen Ron come in many times and be tremendously generous with gifts for his kids. I hope this turns out to be a story with a happy ending. More reason than ever to root for this guy.

Re: Ron-Ron Talks About His Daughter
No question about Ron's talent on the court. I'm very delighted to hear about his commitment to his kids despite the troubles he had this spring and hope Ron and his family nothing but the best.

Thoughts & prayers to the Artest family.  I can't even imagine what they are going through.
