Thursday Footnotes

  • We spent much of Wednesday chiding Mikki Moore for his comments about the coaching staff doing a poor job finding ways to get him involved on offense. He apologized to the team Wednesday, will be fined by Reggie Theus, and generally seems sincerely repentant about his salty attitude. He is a good teammate, one night be damned. Did you see him go nuts after Beno Udrih's threes last night? It'd be hard to miss -- Comcast showed the reactions a dozen times.
  • BrewHoop has a great, detailed recap from a Bucks fan point of view.
  • David Lee has added a jumpshot to his bag o' tricks. If you don't think this has anything to do with the Kings, you are more pessimistic than me.
  • If this doesn't make you laugh, you are not human. Also, I'd not encourage responding to MiMi. What a (drama) queen.
  • I don't understand how so many good, smart people can be so wrong.

Good for Theus
And for Mikki for being repentant.

I still think he sucks green donkey walnuts as a professional basketball player, but he seems to fill some needs for this team.

More on Moore
Since K9(woof!) appears to be Theus' next choice, I bow at the altars of Brad Miller and Mikki Moore.

K9 (woof!) Money!
If Kenny Thomas continues playing an average of 13.4 minutes a game, he will have made over $430,000 per  hour of court time! Which also equates to around $7,100 per minute of court time. The NBA, where K9(woof!) happens! What a job! He got paid roughly $21,300 to commit 1 foul and 1 turnover during yesterday's game. He's gotta be one of the NBA's highest paid players per capita.

On the flip side...
Beno Udrih is playing for about $195 a minute! And what's even more amazing is that an hour of Kenny Thomas court time is only about $100,000 cheaper than a season of Beno!

Don't do that!
Didn't your mom ever tell you -

Do not stare directly at the sun.

Do not stick a paper clip into a light socket.

Do not spend time breaking down K9(woof!)'s contract.

All of these things can cause catastrophic injury.

Okay I'll play
Rose makes 7.1 Mil. Balkman 1.2 mil and Lee makes 990K. That's essentially 9.3 mil. Artest by himself makes 7.8 mil. If you add 3 way you got yourself a deal (at least monetarily anyway).

However I am a masochist so....
How about swapping K9 for Quentin Richardson?

And what I meant by Q for K9 is....
that you add them to the existing deal already on the table.

That's mean!
We get two of the Knicks most promising players and they get a big bag of crazy and the world's worst contract.

We could single handedly destroy the Knicks
