George Karl thinks Kevin Martin's too good for Most Improved.

It's nice to have a player opposing coaches go out of their way to compliment:

"If I was Kevin Martin, I'd probably be disappointed if I was just Most Improved Player," Denver coach George Karl said. "How about, He's just a damn good basketball player? He's moved into a level of All-Star talent and skills. He's above and better than the award for Most Improved Player, in my opinion. He's real."

It's great to have the world waking up to the offensive brilliance we've seen since 14 months ago. He's an All-Star next year.

Re: George Karl thinks Kevin Martin's too good
"In the 22 games in which Martin has taken at least 15 shots, he has averaged 27.2 points. He's converting 52.6 percent of his shots in those games, above his season-long mark of 49.3."

If you were the coach of a team and had these stats at your fingertips, wouldn't you make certain - or at least do all you could to ensure - that this happened every freakin' game?

True, but for a man in little stature like Muss, I would be worried that if Ron-Ron did not get his 20 shots a game, he would beat me.

Re: George Karl thinks Kevin Martin's too good
I'd be worried about ron's back climbing in & out of that mercedes chris.

Also karl's point is interesting. He shouldnt be worried about the MIP THATS OUR JOB AS FANS. We get to be pissed off. If he's skipped over well thats just the national nitwits mistake. Deron Williams may be the 'most' improved but kevin martin has made the biggest jump. Nobody has jumped from good solid role player like kmart was last year to an all star jump this season. Deron Williams in any other year should get the award. This is Kevin Martin's award to lose.

Re:George Karl...
I feel the need to point out that this player we are talking about was left off of the playoff roster his rookie year. What happened? Roids? Ha! Petrie drafts good players. Gerald Wallace, Hedo, J.Will, Peja, Garcia, I know I am forgetting someone.
