Can the Kings avoid the sweep? Has Sacramento even won one national TV game this season? (Yeah, TNT game against Chicago. That's it, though.) Can the Kings lose out?

These questions will be answered in just a few hours. Well, they won't be answered, I guess... Oh whatever. Go Kings, I guess.

If the Kings lose out they would be 29-53. Right now (Sunday morning) Memphis has 17 wins and Boston has 20. I doubt the Kings can finish below those teams even if they try. And I also doubt both those teams would pass up Oden if they had the opportunity.

The Kings are not good enough for the playoffs, but not bad enough for a good draft pick. Bibby and Miller are untradeable. Looks like more of the same next year.

But you'll likely get a new coach! You can be optimistic about that!

if they get 29-53, they could have the 3rd best chance at the top pick. That would give us a sufficient opportunity to get the 1st pick.

The Kings are looking pretty good early on - surprise of all surprises. They're up 10-9 right now.

The lineup is Martin, Artest, Shareef, Salmons and Bibby.

After a full quarter, the Kings lead 27-23. They got a bit lucky, as the Suns had some critical turnovers and a missed easy dunk. Artest is enjoying the ABC attention, with 10 points. Bibby has 9, Salmons and Reef have 4. No bench scoring. No Martin scoring.

At the start of the secon, C-Will is in. Martin just got smacked in the face.

As well as the Kings have played, its only a 7 pt. game for the Kings at home. The start of the 2nd half will be the key to the game.

And the third quarter isn't usually all that promising for this team.

Bibby for 3! That was a crazy turn of events. Salmons lost the ball, got it back, got his shot blocked - right back to Bibby beyond the arc, who nailed it. Sacramento 64, Suns 61.

Bibby just finished the game with his 9th 3, and you just have to wonder why the team hasn't played like this the whole season. Obviously the shooting has been good, but the hustle and rebounding have been good too. At this point it just kinda feels like too little too late.
