KevMar-velous

Kevin Martin's deep shot didn't fall. He went 2 for 8 from long-range, firing the trigger on open looks from outside with no reward.

And he still scored 33 points on 19 shots.

This kid is playing fricking ridiculously, and he's not even getting as much attention as Ron Artest or Mike Bibby. I mean, not only does ESPN's Marc Stein not hand the Most Improved Player award to KevMar in his two-thirds awards, he lists eight other guys he's considering. Are you freaking kidding me? (Of course, Stein can without doubt hand out MVP, Sixth Man, Rookie, and Comeback awards. But MIP - the biggest no-brainer of the lot - deserves a question mark?

Keep ignoring this kid. You'll be the fool.

How unknown is Kevin Martin?

Re: KevMar-velous
Kelvin Martin is not as hot as Kevin Martin unless you multiply Kelvin Martin by like 375 or so.
He's pesky I tell ya.

Is Kelvin his twin brother?

Re: KevMar-velous
Hey...up in Portland we used to have this guy named Terry Porter.  Maybe you remember him?  Point Guard...All-Star...took us to the Finals twice...played in the league, like, 17 years or something...eventual assistant to Rick Adelman with you guys.  Every non-Portland annoucer in the universe used to call him Kevin Porter half the time because there was some scrub guy in the league with that name at the same time.

And by the way they always pronounced the coach's name AY-del-man too.

Welcome to the fun of being anybody but the Lakers, Knicks, or Bulls.

Re: KevMar-velous
Kevin is incredible. If he doesn't garner MIP, I'll go on some kind of a rage sending hate mails to all the sports journalist on ESPN w/e. They have given absolutely no love to the Kings this season period. Well, with the way they were playing they prolly don't deserve any. Either way, K-Mart at least deserve player of the week for a 4-1 record with 3 road wins, two wire to wire wins against West teams.

SHOW THE KID SOME LOVE!!!

Time to Break 'em up.

Re: KevMar-velous
Let's not forget Artest's contribution.  Without his performance that game might have been lost.  Not only was he the high rebounder for the Kings but he made two shots in the closing minutes that put the game away.

Re: KevMar-velous
Yes indeed. Ron says he practices those crazy shots, and after the fourth quarter in Portland and that first overtime Houston game I saw live, I believe him.

Ron was pretty much a monster the entire game.
