Van Gundy Impresses, Maloofs Get a Restraining Order on Amick
The Bee's Sam Amick has a lengthy and detailed account of Stan Van Gundy's second interview with Geoff Petrie and the Maloofs. (By the way: this is how I like my sports journalism -- written up close and personal. I guarantee Amick knows what they ate for lunch. That's awesome.) Kurt Rambis is up today, also in Vegas.
What about Terry Porter? He's now available, though I wouldn't be shocked if a certain job he's closer to (read: Flip Saunders') also became open.

He showed in '04-'05 he knows how to keep egos in check and did a marvelous coaching a team with 2nd year guard D-Wade and Shaq and role players like Damon Jones, Eddie Jones, Udonis Haslem.
If VG was hired, I think Kenny Thomas will show more than he did with Musselman. KT was a nice player under Adelman and I think KT can play that "Udonis Haslem" role.
SVG back in play?
Nevertheless, if the Kings are serious about SVG they might not want to delay too much longer...
