NY Post: Knicks Summer League Team an 'Audition for Petrie'
Always fun to hear something like this:
Marc Berman goes on talk about possible combinations. He mentions Jared Jeffries. After Petrie's recent comments, I have to gather there is zero chance of him taking back Jeffries.
Also, based on the article, it appears Nate Robinson is in danger of being cut from the team outright.

Lee & Co.
I can't even fathom the Kings doing the deal with the Knicks if it does not include Lee.

I think Isiah will give up Lee but he wants the Kings to take the worst possible player along with Lee. I'm sure it started with Jerome James and it has moved to Jeffries or Rose and Petrie is holding out for Dikau and Jones for instant cap relief next year, a back-up point and a back-up 2 for this season. Petrie might even be willing to toss in Douby so he can go home to NY also especially if it could land Morris in the deal.

As far as Douby goes I doubt Petrie will throw him in so quickly. Artest already makes a million more than Lee,Jones and Dickau would make combined. Plus, Berman made an excellent point today that if you trade Jones/Dickau again as a combo you have to wait 60 days. So at a minimum they couldn't trade them before August 28/29th something like that.
Just thought I should throw that out there because this gives Zeke/Petrie more time to bullshit and duke it out before that 60 days is up. I would be shocked if Petrie doesn't have Jones/Dickau as his target and that Zeke hasn't already agreed in principle to do the deal with those 2 included. The question is will he continue to balk on Lee or not. We will know the answer to that question in the upcoming weeks.

Post v. Times
I know we'd all like the Post guy to be right because Lee is the current toast of the town; but, it sure seems strange that two reporters could have such a huge difference of opinion.
Who is the better source of information on the NBA and the Knicks?

Artest for Lee
This rumoreed deal actually makes sense for both teams, and while losing David Lee might not hurt the Knicks too much, adding him sure would boost the KIngs frontcourt in terms of rebounding, athleticism and hustle.
