Be good to see how Spencer handles 20 minutes or so of work. I think that he'll be fine offensively. I'm frankly more interested in his defense.

However, I'm hoping that this means more small ball - lil' more Beno, El Flaco, and he of the ugly beard.

Good luck

He'll be challenged by the likes of Collison, Wilcox and their other bigs, but he played well defensively against the Bulls and I think he'll do just fine.

Hopefully he doesn't get so exciting he wets his pants, though.

All in all, a great opportunity for the youngster and a possible mini-preview of things to come if Petrie starts dealing.

I've always like Collison's game. He's tough, runs the floor, good on the boards, and cleans up the garbage. He's also got surprisingly good hops.

Collison has slightly better numbers, but Lee shoots better, and is three years younger. Lee also make less than a mill this year, Collison makes about 6 mill. We can chalk up Lees lower numbers to Isaih, I think. Adding in Lees better shooting, I think we can say Lee is the better player.

But I think a big reason Durant is playing the "two" is because of their abundance of forwards. He's a natural 3, and he & Green are serious combo F's, but given the roster makeup they both have to play a little out of position. People have forgotten that in all the hoopla of Durant shooting too much & Green's down year (and yes I still believe the Sonics should have taken Corey Brewer).

That's why I think you're seeing the hot start. The Sonics have no answer for Martin alredy, but with Artest and Bibby playing so well K-Mart's contribution isn't even needed until Bibby/Artest fall off.

That move is already NBA quality. He faked Sene out of his shoes. That's better than nothing at this point. To walk you have to crawl, and to run you have to walk. Shawes is at the crawl but graduating nearly to the walking stage. (This makes me happy and will still believe that a fire sale doesn't make this team worse, but makes this team more potent as it re-focuses it's direction around younger players.)

I played four years of division 1 (granted not top tier) college ball. I doubt you can match that. Thats why I KNOW how much of a power struggle goes on constantly between players. You can sit on the sidelines and talk all you want, but team chemistry is more than you obviously understand.
But I'll dispute argument, do you really think Theus would tell Bibby (with an injured pinky and a lower FT%) to shoot instead of Biiby? OK, probably not.
Then do you actually expect Martin to tell Bibby to stop shooting and give him the ball? That would make Bibby look like such a fool; step up to the line only to be called back for somebody else.

Ok, I know they aren't that good. And they came one win from making the tourney the year after I graduated. BUT, I played low level D1 ball, and there were still nothing but egos.

Think of it this way. EVERY SINGLE NBA PLAYER was the best player at their high school, the best player in their high school division, probably the best player on their college team, and one of the best players in college for a while. You think these guys don's have power struggles? You think these guys don't think they are better than everybody else? Please.

Would also bench on alot of junior-high teams, so their opinions count as much as mine do on the role of the Catholic church in interspatial physics: jack-nada.

I admit, when I watch the college teams, I make fun of the lesser-tier teams in comparison to the team I follow (another lesser-tier team). But that doesn't mean I have any pre-concieved notion that I wouldn't get destroyed on any court by anyone that plays D-I, D-II, or D-III ball - and I played for my High School team to boot (we sucked).

So, I'll second the props on making it onto a college team, and sticking to it - making it all the way through ain't easy. Way more pressure than I would ever wanna deal with.

Thye were playing better with Spencer and Douby; hope we get to see them hook up again in the second half.

Criticize Artest if you want, but he is carrying this club. He even took on Brad's high-post facilitator role for a stretch.

I think what you're seeing is simple

The Kings are showing their lack of playmaking ability without Miller or Udrih. Frankly this is making yet another argument why Artest & Bibby need to be traded. The Sonics athleticism isn't helping either.

Something that's concerning me

In the rare nights such as this, where Kevins shot isn't falling, cna his game evolve to where he finds people in better situations to score?

Or was tonight more a night of "Kevin gives the ball, then jackass who recieved it does something stupid liek a fadeaway three from midcourt even though he was sitting at the corner for the easy three and thus after mutliple repetitions of this event he says eff it and just starts chucking bad shots cause a bad shot for Kevin is better than that shiat.".
