Reason #15 to Love Theus

The Reggie Theus era has had fits and starts this season, with some unwise battling with Kevin Martin and John Salmons along with equally unwise bowing to the altar of Ron Artest.

But overall, he's been a plus. And this line item from a recent Melody Gutierrez notes column captures it perfectly:

Still out - Although there was room on the active roster, Kenny Thomas was not activated in place of John Salmons on Sunday because of soreness in his knee, Theus said.

Theus would rather go with 11 guys in uniform than activate Kenny Thomas. I think that's a sentiment we all share.

It was all worth it to rent Corliss for a couple seasons. I always thought the guy got kind of a raw deal at the end of his first Sac tenure. Plus the whole Maloofs reneging on a handshake extension thing then ending up trading for him a few years later is like a bad sitcom plot.
