GAME 77 vs Evil Los Angeles, Game Thread

Another night, another spoiler alert. The Lakers visit Sacramento for the last time until next spring. And I hear the gym's sold out. (Praying for no M-V-P chants.)

As you'd expect, Kurt from Forum Blue & Gold has a thoughtful preview, which reminds us how potent the Kings' screen-roll and cut-focused offense was against the Lakers last time around. I have a pleasant memory from that game, and I'm sure you all recall it a bit too.

This should be a highly offensive game. 6:00 p.m. is the start. Go Kings.

I agree!
You're like the Odenized of Kings basketball.

Speaking for myself, I really really appreciate all the clips you've put up.

haha
yeah odenized somehow manages to watch every single NBA game and get clips.

I however have my priorities. :)

Like TZ,
I also appreciate all of your videos.  Thanks!
God bless you, Corliss. You always played as though you knew how expensive my tickets were. -section214

Play the young guys...
Reggie has no excuse not to play the young guys. The Kings have more than matched last season's total, established himself as a coach by giving himself an A this season.

If Reggie wants to be short-sighted by "mucking up the playoff picture" then he's not doing his job.

I am not saying go tank the season, the Kings need to give their young players additional experience. Kevin, Ron, Brad, Mikki and Beno don't need to play 38+ minutes now. They only need to play 20-25 minutes.

I feel bad for Quincy who never got a chance to learn by making mistakes.

Shelden average a double-double last month of the season of his rookie year and showed some flashes that he can perhaps play effectively in the NBA. He could really use an opportunity to play some meaningful minutes.

Even Francisco: This could be a time for Cisco to work on being a leader and improve his ball handling skills.

The NBA Lottery: Where fans turning against their favorite team happens.

but not the way we planned it. he didnt have a choice but to play the younger guys. it was tough to watch in arco at time though

What?!
I actually get to watch a game? Shocking! Unfortunately I have to listen to Stu of KCAL 9 - I think he might be worse than Peaches.

does Kevin sit early and ron gets to continue to force horrible shots....

this team gels a lot better with ron in street clothes

Paradox
Ron is our most dominant player. Sometimes this is good, sometimes it is not.

i think
reggie needs to realize we want him to play the young guys against everyone BUT the Lakers.

We just want to win.  QD and Shelden out there sucking it up ain't gonna help us

How's that one saying go...
Time cures everything?

The Lakers are like the aids virus... You can do enough drugs to suppress the pain, but there is no remedy to completely alleviate their existence.

at least
at least the ARCO faithful are showing Laker fans how to really be fans, they've done a great job shutting up all of those bandwagoners

by kingsTV on Apr 6, 2008 8:09 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Dear ARCO faithful
please dont leave early tonight.  No matter how bad the game gets, do not leave.  I can handle a blowout loss to the Lakers at home (barely), but I cannot handle hearing Kobe get MVP chants in our building.  This is all I ask of you.  Please.

well so much
for sticking it out. Man I was there at arco, we were drowning out the "M-V-P" and "Lets Go Lakers" chants for a while but there only so much 6,000 Kings fans can do

You did good
I was watching the KCAL9 (local SoCal) broadcast, and the boo's beat out the MVP chants.  I could still hear them, but the boo's were WAY louder.  I thank you and the 5,999 other Kings fans more than you know.

the lakers
are classless as usual, shooting three's with all of your starters in up by 19.

amazing stuff

wow
why the fuck are they interviewing anyone from the lakers. Are they trying to lose fans?

Silver lining, silver lining
Let's see, where is that frickin' thing? Mom always said if you looked hard enough you could find a silver lining...that lying bi...wait a minute...well, it will have to do: Kevin Martin is 4 points away from officially qualifying for the scoring stats, and as of right now he would finish 6th, behind LeBron, Kobe, AI, 'Melo and Amare, and ahead of Dirk.

...and a double double for Hawes with a couple of blocks...

...and at least I wasn't there...

Seattle beats Denver 151 to 147 in double OT. Wish I'd watched that game instead.
