Golden State or Denver?
There's been some debate since Saturday's win over Denver, and with tonight's game at Golden State looming: Which team would you rather see in the playoffs?
The crimes against Denver: They deserve punishment for not giving up Linas Kleiza for Ron Artest at the deadline.
The crimes against Golden State: Local rival; Stephen Jackson got all "scoreboard" on Reggie Theus because coach took a late timeout in a Kings blowout win to get his starters out of the game; revenge for Monta Ellis's MIP robbery of Kevin Martin still required.
To me, it's no contest. I'm willing to listen to arguments, though. Poll on the right.

Here it is... Kobe's Pacific Division Winner...
Kinda a blessing in disguise actually. I didn't think that '04 team could have beaten the Lakers or the Spurs. We didn't beat the T-Wolves but we were seriously inches away from sweeping the Timberwolves before missing so many key opportunities in Games 2,3 and 7.
The T-Wolves series should have ended in 4 (sweep for Kings) not in 7 (crushing loss).

Denver, barely
And has anyone noticed that Sactown's finest leads the NBA in flagrant fouls (5)? What up with that, Matt?
On the other hand, Denver sports the only team with a trifecta of double digit "T" receivers ('Melo, Martin and...Kleiza?) and their coach sent his attorney after a blogger a la Peaches because the blogger created a website and named it firegeorgekarl.com.
The irony is that we could wind up rooting for one of these teams in the 1st round if the Lakers secure the top seed.
Ick.

I only root for the Kings to win
Rule 5 section A Part A says that any team with Ron Artest automatically becomes dramatically in-consequential.

Bums
And kingme, are you serious? Have you been watching them? They can't beat the Sonics but somehow they're going to beat the Lakers?
O....K....

GOLDEN STATE
However, the Warriors and their fans drive me nuts. I hate seeing them in our building when I watch the games. They're obnoxious. And I've got to agree with the above post, their commentators comment about us watching the playoffs from home pissed me off.

I want both in ?!?!?!
I want Denver in because if they face the Lakers in the first round they have a better chance of beating them in the playoffs rather than GS.

nice people in GS
------------------------------
Nothing but love for Sacto....
....for two years running now. Last year, the only reason we made the playoffs was because the ELIMINATED Sacto Kings went down to Staples and knocked off the Clippers on the last Sunday of the regular season. This year, the ELIMINATED Sacto Kings went into Denver without Artest, Miller, and Udrih, and knocked off a well-rested Denver Nuggets team. If we make the playoffs by ONE game again this year, it's because of Sacramento.
So....thank you Kings. Now pls do us one more favor and roll over tonight.
------------------------------
Seriously, most of the people there seem to like Sacramento.
And regarding the question - probably Denver OUT. I just do not like too many headbands at once...

Denver Out
Even though I hate him for stealing the MIP, I love the way Monta Ellis plays and his similarities to Kevin. Baron is exciting to watch, especially the way he ate up Devin Harris and Jason Terry last year.
I don't hate Stephen Jackson for what he said because I probably would have said the same thing, and I thought it was pretty funny when I first heard it. He's also a great teammate (even though he had to deck a few fans to prove it).

Denver

I'm voting with Carl on this one!
Their starters are aging quickly and they would have only had Artest for one and a quarter seasons. He would have been a perfect teammate for 99% percent of that time.
Plus, it won't hurt my feelings if the GSW are watching the playoffs with the Kings in two weeks.

Just for the record
I wasn't going to mention (admit?) my mistake, but checking the poll it's currently a 2-vote difference (88-90), meaning that it's actually an even 50-50 split right now had I voted correctly (89-89).
Like Sacramento & the playoffs, GS can thank me if they win this poll by 1 vote.

You do realize,
TZ, I demand a recount! smgmatt has declared that his vote was tallied in error and that he did not mean to vote the way he did.
Sigh. This means 8 more years of Artest.

Don't worry, smgmatt
However, they don't seem to have gotten the message since GS is currently losing to them at
the start of the 4th.
