SB Nation's got another new site - Fake Teams - and it's all about fantasy sports.
He's got a poll up now weighing the expected fantasy contributions from Ron Artest and Peja Stojakovic for the rest of the season. I think it's got to be a toss-up - too many variables, especially with Jermaine O'Neal being out up to eight weeks with an ill-timed groin tear.
Speaking off fantasy in basketball, the guys at Setshot did a little experiment:
Cary and I decided to explore this issue using the latest in basketball simulation technology: NBA2K6 for Playstation 2. We created a character called Joe Setshot -- a 5'8" small forward with knee pads, Stockton shorts and male pattern baldness. Setshot was given the lowest possible rating in every skill category (50), so as to best approximate the abilities of an average player.
We'll just say that the unstoppable Wang ZhiZhi got involved at this point, providing a stern lesson to pick-up wannabes.
For the record, I don't think I could score on an NBA player. Unless I had a shotgun and three shells, that is.
