It's always a fun morning when the Sacramento Bee's massive Kings preview hits the doorstep.
It's online here. I found Marcos Breton's column particularly well thought out, even if I slightly disagree. (Breton argues that if Ron Artest gets injured or is otherwise unable to play, this team is deader than dead, based on the pre-Artest lifelessness and post-Artest exuberance seen last season. I think Artest's impact is felt on the all-important energy and spirit tip whether he's in the game or not. Of course, he's incredibly important. But the team's performance would suffer more if Mike Bibby or Brad Miller were forced out for extended periods of time. A lot of this is due to depth at their positions compared to depth behind Artest.)
