Friday's Game in Denver To Be Postponed

New, comments

A few days ago, Chris the Greek gamely pointed out how ridden with bad scheduling luck the Kings have been this year, with Allen Iverson's Denver debut coming against the Kings central to the argument.

It's going to get worse.

Denver International Airport is closed until noon Friday, meaning the Kings aren't getting into Colorado in time to play the Nuggets at 7p local. Which means the game will be made up at some point in the future, possibly when Melo is back and likely when Iverson is back up to snuff.

Awesome.

The Nuggets were at their most vulnerable earlier this week, with the services of Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith. Even Friday would've been a bonus, as Iverson is probably going to be a bit rusty.

After a cursory look through both teams' schedules, the game may have to wait until the end of the regular season. (And the Nuggets have to make up last night's cancelled game against Phoenix, too.) There's virtually no common space in the NBA schedule in order to make up games.

Adding Denver to the equation makes that daunting late March/early April gauntlet even more daunting. As a reminder:

03/22: GAME at PHOENIX.
03/25: GAME vs PHOENIX.
