(Great diary by louismg, even though it is incredibly embarassing for me. Be sure to join the next prediction thread, and you too can have fame and glory! - TZ)
The Kings didn't win it all - I came to that realization fairly early on... unfortunately. But in late April, as the playoffs were set to begin, we at Sactown Royalty were asked to list our predictions.
Surprsingly, I did a lot better than maybe I should have. Of course, if I put money on it, I'd be toast, as the outcome would no doubt be different...
Let's revisit that thread after assigning a totally arbitrary scoring system!
The rest is inside.
1st round winner = 1 point
Conf. Semifinal winner = 2 points
Conf. Final winner = 4 points
Finals winner = 8 points
BONUS of 1 for each series guessed correctly AND the correct number of games.

Next year, I'm hoping Sactown Royalty will be a lot bigger, so we can set up a real bracket and keep score. I'm just lucky I got the right final participants and games right (Miami over Dallas in 6). In fact, if it wasn't for my blatant homerism in picking Sacramento over San Antonio, I would have gotten every series correct - which is pretty easy considering the lack of major upsets...
