The pool of prospective pickups that look like a key fit for the Sacramento Kings this off-season decreased by yet one more today, with the news that free agent forward Darius "Sing me a" Songaila signed a five year deal worth $23 million with the Washington Wizards.
Today's signing continues the years-long trend of once Northern California players who spent latter parts of their careers with the "don't call us the Bullets" squad, joining such luminaries as Mitch Richmond, Larry Hughes, Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison.
So who does that leave out there to don the Purple and Black? Speedy Claxton is gone. Joel Pryzbilla is gone. Maybe once the music stops... Bonzi doesn't end up going anywhere.
