- Marty McNeal scoops the world: Fat Lever is the new director of player development for the Kings. Some of you old-timers will remember him. Having a director of player development at all is a bonus, so cheers on that.
- Francisco Garcia: opening night starter? Point guard? Captain? As a devout fan of El Flaco, I'm with it.
- Spencer Hawes had another MRI done. Awesome. It looks like he'll miss Tuesday's game; hell, he might miss most/all of preseason. But he's in good enough spirits to drop some econ talk on Sam Amick.
- Ailene Voisin went to school with Reggie Theus. Keep that in mind.
- The poll results surprise me a little bit. I can honestly say there's no way in Hades I'd have spent money on the preseason opener if Kevin Durant wasn't coming to town.
- This Reggie Theus quote on the offense he's implementing made me smile: "It's not so intricate that they have to go study the book at home because we're really just working with our early offensive stuff, because I don't want to have to call a bunch of offensive plays. I want these guys to be able to think about their offense and just react."
