The 'Disaster' Scenario

New, comments

If you have ESPN Insider, you've probably read Chad Ford's 'disaster meter' column. If not, here's a snippet:

Adding Durant to the squad gives Petrie the opening he's been looking for to pawn Artest off to the highest bidder. [...] The Kings seem like a sinking ship at the moment, and no one at No. 10 is going to bail them out.

Two things:
  1. Petrie does not need Kevin Durant in order to justify pawning off Ron Artest. Ron Artest has already justified pawning off Ron Artest. And as hard as everyone says it's going to be... it only takes one buyer.
  2. "... no one at No. 10 is going to bail them out." You're right, no one at No. 10 is going to bail them out. But someone at 1 Sports Parkway in Sacramento, California, is going to bail them out.
Who?

This guy.
