The Cleveland Plain Dealer published a quick Q&A with Reggie Theus. One interesting response:
Q: Coming from Louisville and New Mexico State, what's the biggest difference between coaching in college and coaching in the pros?
A: The college game is a coach's game. The NBA is a player's game. In college, the coach has all the control. In the NBA, the only thing the coach has control of is minutes. When it's all said and done, I enjoy the wide-eyed environment when it comes to teaching. There's so many games in the NBA, and players who've been doing this a long time, that some of the teaching elements go away. Guys either think they know it all, or you just don't have much time to coach.
