Ian Whittell, whose coverage I look forward to every May now, reports on ESPN.com that the Euroleague will send three teams to the West Coast during the NBA preseason for a spate of exhibitions.
CSKA Moscow, who are seeking their second European title in three years in Madrid this weekend, are joining FC Barcelona and one other Euroleague team in a series of exhibition games on the West Coast this fall.
The L.A. Lakers and three other NBA teams will be involved in the multiple-game format which runs from Oct. 10-21 and will feature games at L.A.'s Staples Center and Oakland, among other venues.
No word on whether the Kings are involved yet. If it's still in question, let me note Sacramento has a massive Russian and Balkan population. And we love our Serbs (well, Peja and Vlade at least). I'd love to see CSKA or Barca at ARCO, even if Quincy Douby gets 30 minutes of playing time.
