Welcome to the 3^rd annual Sactown Royalty Draft Extravaganza.

Ball in Cup was the prognosticator of prognosticators in 2008, correctly guessing Sean Singletary as a 2^nd round pick (no one had Jason Thompson in the 1^st round, and NO ONE had Patrick Ewing Jr. in the 2^nd round. (Cup, you need to drop me an email – we’re finally ready to give you your shirt…really!) Last year, almost half of the field of 83 got Rubio’d, while 12 participants correctly selected Evans and Casspi (everyone whiffed on Brockman). Per the rules (written by yours truly), yours truly was determined to be the winner by virtue of getting my picks in first (n’yah).

This year’s dust-up is pretty much the same, with a new wrinkle for tie breakers –

• In the comments section of this post, let us know who you think the Kings will draft with their 1st round pick, and then their 2nd round pick. As a potential tie breaker, also select who you think Houston will pick with the #14 pick. Whoever gets the most picks right is awarded with your choice of Sactown Royalty T-shirt.

• In case of a tie, the correct selection of the 1^st round pick will be the tie breaker. The 2^nd tie breaker will be the 2^nd round pick. The 3rd tie breaker is guessing the last lottery pick (Houston at #14). The final tie breaker is the earliest entry.

• One entry per person. Once you have entered you may not change your picks, unless you can prove that you are Chad Ford. The advantage to entering early is the tie breaker edge, while the advantage of waiting is any extra bit of news that you may pick up between now and the deadline.

• Entry deadline is Tuesday, June 22nd, midnight PST.

So have at it. Pull guesses out of your arse pelt like Punksayawny Chad. Pretend that you’re Ailene Voisin and envision the prospects bare chested. Peach your picks up a little and declare love for the guy that you’ve been reaming for the last two weeks. Factor in trades that will never happen, based on information that comes from front offices with the sole design of deceiving everyone. It’s that easy!
