Kings Wage Attack on Wizards, Fellow Travelers in the NBA's Cellar

The Sacramento Kings make their sole appearance in Washington, D.C., as the Wizards host our protagonists. The Kings are one game into a six-game road trip. With the Boston Celtics up next, the Wizards game stands as a great opportunity to add one to the win total.

STARTING LINEUPS & INJURIES

I've seen no update on Tyreke Evans' condition past Jason Jones' report this morning, so let's consider 'Reke likely to start. If so, he'll be with Beno Udrih, Francisco Garcia, Jason Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins. Jermaine Taylor will be ready if 'Reke isn't, and Omri Casspi, Carl Landry and Pooh Jeter will prepare for minutes off the bench either way.

The Wizards present John Wall, Nick Young, Rashard Lewis, Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee. Off the bench, we'll see Kirk Hinrich, Al Thornton and Yi Jianlian.

UPDATE: Grant Napear tweets that Luther Head will start for Evans.

LAST TIME

The Kings beat the Wizards by 25 points in Sacramento last month. Jason Thompson had 22 points and 14 rebounds. Beno scored 23.

SCOUTING REPORT

Check out HighTops' scouting report.

MATCHUP OF THE GAME

Cousins didn't get bent against McGee last time around, but that was a different DeMarcus. Can Epic Vale hold the new, improved DMC back? WATCH AND FIND OUT.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Thompson feasted on the 'Zards last time around, and the Kings are a real different team when J.T. plays like a beast. A lot of that depends on whether his shots are falling, but Washington doesn't have much resistence up front.
