DeMarcus Cousins To Come Off Bench For Kings

DeMarcus Cousins will come off the bench for the Kings in the team's final two games before the All-Star break, reports Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee. Jones said coach Paul Westphal said that the move isn't a punishment for the altercation Cousins had with Donte Greene on Saturday, but that because Cousins was in Sacramento meeting with Kings management on Monday and missed Sunday's game due to an unofficial suspension, the coach feels more comfortable starting Samuel Dalembert and Jason Thompson again.

The Kings beat the Suns in Phoenix on Sunday with Dalembert playing exceptionally well. A Saturday loss to the Thunder, Tuesday's foe, sparked the altercation, which was predicated on Cousins reportedly calling Greene too "scared" to make the right play, which Cousins believed to be a post entry pass with the game tied and five seconds left. Greene passed the ball to Tyreke Evans, who missed a three-pointer.

Jones also tweeted that Cousins and Greene were interacting per normal (as in, without fists) after shootaround in Oklahoma City today.
