Sacramento Kings Land No. 7 Pick In 2011 NBA Draft

The Sacramento Kings landed the No. 7 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft at Tuesday's lottery. The Cleveland Cavaliers (via the Los Angeles Clippers) and the Utah Jazz (via the New Jersey Nets, and also via the tiebreaker the Kings technically won) leaped ahead. The Cavs ended up with the top pick, and the Wolves will pick No. 2. The Jazz will pick No. 3.

The Kings have fallen a combined seven of a possible eight spots in the past three draft lotteries. The Kings are really terrible at draft lotteries. But at least the Kings are not the L.A. Clippers and did not trade Kyrie Irving for the difference in salaries between Baron Davis and Mo Williams.

The prospects at No. 7 will include names like Brandon Knight, Bismack Biyombo, Donatas Motiejunas, Tristan Thompson, Jan Vesely and many others.

Our annual Community Draft Board begins Thursday. We'll also have regular profiles of the prospects. And we're definitely scouting the hell out of that No. 60 pick!
