DraftExpress' latest 2011 NBA Mock Draft has the Sacramento Kings taking Jimmer Fredette with the No. 7 pick. Kawhi Leonard is still on the board in this mock (he goes No. 9 to the Charlotte Bobcats), but Kemba Walker is gone (No. 5 to the Toronto Raptors).
DX's Jonathan Givony explains that the Kings are looking to move the pick for a veteran, but might have to compromise and take the most polished player that looks to be a good fit in Jimmer.
The Kings are looking for help at both point guard and small forward, but aren't in love with anyone in this draft, as they'd much rather find immediate help in the form of a veteran. This pick could be available, with the front office and coaching staff under fire to improve the team as much as possible.
Chad Ford's next mock draft is coming soon. He teased it on Twitter by saying that he has the Kings taking Kemba despite his report that Alec Burks has drawn interest at No. 7.
