Kings vs. Blazers: The road show, take 7

The Kings, winners of two straight at home and 6-12 overall, try again to get their first road win, this time against the Blazers.

Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

The Kings have won two straight at home, rebounding from the team's low point last weekend and getting to .500 in Sacramento (6-6). Unfortunately, the Kings are 0-6 away from home, and face four straight on the road. The first of those games is tonight against the beatable Blazers, a team that smacked the Kings in Sacramento last month.

Tyreke Evans is expected to play after missing his third game with a bruised knee. The Kings went 1-2 in the games Evans missed. On Friday in the win over the Magic, the bench did a good part of the damage, with Jimmer Fredette and Isaiah Thomas both playing quite well.

The Blazers are two spots above the Kings in the West, 8-11 on the season. They are 4-3 at home and actually might end up a lot closer to .500 this season than anyone expected. Damian Lillard, of course, is the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year, and LaMarcus Aldridge is LaMarcus Aldridge. With Nicolas Batum and Wes Matthews, that team has some talent.

Let's hope the Kings' talent outshines it on Saturday.
