Utah Jazz at Sacramento Kings
7 p.m. Pacific on Comcast SportsNet California
Whoa.
This could end up one of the crazier nights of the year. You don't usually come off of All-Star Weekend with incredible momentum, but the crowd -- at whatever size it ends up -- will be juiced, the players will be amped and the match-up could offer a solid opportunity for a win. The Maloofs will be in the building, the mayor will be there. The county win today will ensure that optimism is high ... and wow. Some week. It's Tuesday.
The Kings won their last game, a burner at Washington to cap a competitive but loss-filled road trip. In this second half of the season, the Kings will be home quite a bit; they were solid here in the first half, and the expectation is that they'll continue at that level. Let's hope the crowds can continue to help.
The Jazz will be without Raja Bell, but Gordon Hayward, Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap remain in the mix. This is a talented team that doesn't get enough out of its backcourt; Isaiah Thomas will face a good defender in Devin Harris, but one that he can get past.
Game's at 7. Tickets available. Game threads at 7 and 8:30. Let's go Kings!
