Per Jason Jones' Twitter feed, Marcus Thornton could miss the game for Sacramento. He has re-aggravated his thigh contusion and is considered a game time decision. Thornton is a tough player who hates to sit, so I imagine he would play if it was up to him. However, the coaching staff and team management might decide it better to not risk further damage to an injury that has nagged Thornton throughout much of the season, particularly when the front office might be doing something that rhymes with planking.
The other unknown is DeMarcus Cousins. Again per Jason Jones, the team has yet to hear the results of their appeal of Cousins' 13th technical foul of the season. The 13th tech draws an automatic one game suspension. Jones reports that the team believes the foul will be rescinded, but if it isn't the Kings will be without Cousins.
But worry not, gang. No Cousins, no Thornton, Oklahoma City, what could go wrong?
Tonight is an early game, with tip off at 5:00 PM PDT. Game threads are set for 5 and 6:30. Go Kings!
