We are less than two weeks away from the point at which the Sacramento Kings' new era officially officially starts on the court. On October 30, the Kings will tip off the season at home against the Denver Nuggets in a game that's been hyped to the hilt. The broadcast will be commercial-free for fans at home, the game is being billed a "purple-out" and there's lots of surprises promised. What kind of surprises? FOX 40's Mark Demsky has heard a rumor ...
It's been rumored that the entertainment could be the likes of musicians Katy Perry, or possibly Robin Thicke. The Kings, though, won't confirm anyone.
Um.
A quick perusal of tour dates for both of those acts shows open dates in late October, early November. That would be some kind of incredible (and expensive) coup for the new ownership. And it would beat the hell out of whatever that band that Maloof Music gave us on opening night years ago.
