The Sacramento Kings are back in action on Sunday with a preseason game in Portland against the Trail Blazers. The game's scheduled for 6 p.m. Pacific. Unfortunately, it appears there is no TV broadcast planned in Oregon or anywhere. The game will be broadcast on Sports 1140 AM. (Fret not: Wednesday's game against Golden State will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, which should be available for most Sacramento region cable subscribers. That also means it'll be available on League Pass for far-flung fans.)
The Kings have won three straight in the preseason, beating the Lakers, Clippers and Suns. The Blazers are 3-2 in the preseason, as Damian Lillard has averaged 18 points per game. Per Blazer's Edge, LaMarcus Aldridge will not play due to a sore knee and also this being preseason. But if Robin Lopez plays, that will provide a nice test for DeMarcus Cousins, who had been on a roll the past three games.
The guard rotation will be interesting to watch, of course, as Michael Malone glides toward setting his regular season rotation. Note that he's walked back his comments about setting the starting five in this game -- he's since said that will be more the last two games, because he still needs to experiment a little.
PREDICTION
Kings 110-98.
