DeMarcus Cousins scored 30 points and added 14 rebounds to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 90-88 win over the Denver Nuggets in the team's home opener. The Kings are now 1-0. Hurray Kings!

It wasn't the cleanest game in the world, but the new management pulled out all of the stops to make it memorable. News10 ran it commercial-free, and reports out of the arena suggest that despite a few technical hitches an amazing time was had.

Jason Thompson had one heckuva play in the closing moments, pounding home a putback dunk with 41 seconds left to give the Kings their final margin. Some goofy play followed, with Sacramento getting a tough stop or 30.

Greivis Vasquez was brilliant in the first half and finished with 17 points on 6-9 shooting with 4 assists. Isaiah Thomas had a big second half with 16 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds overall. Ben McLemore and Marcus Thornton were rough -- 2-13 from the floor -- but whatever. Kings win! Boogie down!
