2014 Western Conference Finals Game 1 Thread

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Just like in the East, the top two teams in the West managed to come out of the dogpile to face in the Western Conference Finals, although they didn't do so unscathed.  Oklahoma City, if you haven't heard, has lost Power Forward Serge Ibaka to a calf injury for the entire postseason, a big loss for the Thunder, especially on defense where they will miss his rim protection.  It will definitely be a big test for rookie Steven Adams, who has started to make a name for himself already in these playoffs.

Ibaka or no, the Thunder still have Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, which likely means they'll still give the Spurs a tough test.  The Thunder swept the Spurs in their four regular season matchups, but San Antonio treats the postseason like a whole different animal.  This should be a good series, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go 7 games even with Oklahoma City shorthanded.

Tonight's schedule:

#1 San Antonio Spurs vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder Game 1 at 6:00 PM on TNT
