For two months now we've heard non-stop rumors that the Kings would be looking to trade their pick in order to acquire a veteran player. As recently as two days ago we heard that they had at least three deals on the table for the 8th pick, but so far no deals have materialized.
Now a lot can happen between now and 4:30, and even during the draft depending on how the draft order shakes up, but Marc Spears is reporting the Kings might stand pat and keep their pick.
The Kings appear poised to keep the 8th pick, sources said.

Personally I have to feel that this is a bit of posturing, perhaps to draw stronger offers from teams or to wait and see what happens in the draft. I still feel as if a trade is a top priority for this team, especially now that Rudy Gay is locked in for next year.
