It's that time of year for the State Fair, which opens tomorrow, July 11th and runs through July 27th. The NBA is coming out to Sacramento for the first time as part of a multi-city tour, hosted by none other than Sacramento's own Scott Freshour and NBA great Daryl Dawkins.
From the press release:
For the first time, the NBA Nation Tour will stop in Sacramento at the State Fair July 11-13, 2014. The NBA's largest mobile interactive experience is hosted by former NBA great and Tour Ambassador Darryl Dawkins, and Sacramento Kings host Scott Freshour. The three-day event covers 20,000 square feet and features activities for people of all ages. Popular activities include an NBA Fan Combine in which fans can test dribbling skills and vertical leap just like recently drafted players, and a slam dunk contest consisting of local dunkers with a $2,500 grand prize.
Here's a couple highlight videos of the event from a previous stop in Washington, D.C.:
So if you're going to the fair this weekend, be sure to check out this event. If you participate in the Fan Combine, share your videos with us!
